Western United Girls Development Academy


Western United F.C. proudly announces the establishment of our Girls’ Developmental Academy, open to all girls between the ages of 6 and 10 who aspire to be part of the Western United F.C. tradition of excellence in premier soccer.


Purpose and Goals:


The Academy Program Will Include:

Program Director: Coach Ryan Lavner and Staff

Coach Ryan Lavner has been named the Girls Director of Development with Western United F.C. and will be expanding the Western United F. C. Juniors Program to a Girls Development Academy. Coach Lavner is currently the head coach of the Western United 95s (U13 Girls), recognized as one of the top teams in their age group in Region I (Maine to Virginia), and its roster includes Regional and State ODP players. Coach Lavner has developed the 95s since they were Under-10s and has taken the girls to elite tournaments through Region I. He is also in his second year as the Head Coach of the Division 1 East Longmeadow High School girls program.


Tryout Information:

The Program will launch this June 2009 via a tryout process. Tryouts are open to all female players U10 and under (born after August 1, 1999). Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
