Western United F.C. Photo Album

Haden, Caleb and Jessie from the Western United Under-12 Boys meet Taylor Twellman of the NE Revolution at a local Big-Y supermarket. Taylor is holding up a Western United Commemorative Pin. He gave the boys a signed picture and autographed soccer-related items the boys brought with them. Taylor Twellman was very gracious with his time.

In the week between Christmas and New Year's Eve Western United organized a number of clinics for its players, each of which was followed by an intra-squad tournament. Below are some inages from that week.

The Under-14, Under-13 and Under-12 Western United Boys teams came together for an intra-squad tournament at Allsport Soccer Arena in Northampton during vacation week. Each tournament team was composed of players from each of the three age groups. All four teams demonstrated a spirited and controlled style of play, with the "white" team ultimately coming out on top.

Western United F.C. in West Africa

Ted Hanno, a member of the Western United Under-17 Boys recently accompanied his father on business to the Western African nation of Ghana. The small town he was staying in had some youth soccer teams, but uniforms are in very short supply there. So Ted collected some older Western United jerseys to donate to one of the teams in the town. Ted, wearing an older version of the Western jersey in the photos, got to play with one of the sides (the one that won 2 - 1) in a match that attracted a sizeable crowd. Western United salutes Ted Hanno and his father Dennis for organizing the donation of the jerseys and we thank all those families who donated the jerseys! And if you are ever in Ghana, look for the bright red jerseys and give a "WU!" to our African brothers in soccer!
