Jeff made a technically executed breakaway save and cleanly caught many of the visitors well placed shots.

The defense was bending but not breaking as Cam Dellatorre and AJ Mercer made weakside defensive plays that saved easy goals. Even though the momentum started to change the last 10 minutes of the first half, the Western team was relieved to be tied 0-0 at the break.

The Blazers were flying early in the second half and earned a goal to take a 1-0 lead. This time however the boys in black and red matched the early effort and five minutes later equalized on a pass back to wing back Chad Sanderson (also Man-of-the-Match). Chad arched a 40-yarder over the keeper's head and the confidence of the team swelled.
